The View at Mirror Lake Inn - Lake Placid
Yes, the view at The View is magnificent and the elegant decor sets a nice mood for a fine dining experience, but it is still the food that is the most important thing. And the food is great. With items like Pate and Foie Gras on the menu, it is definitely a fine dining cuisine. But if “fancy” food isn’t your gig, no worries, Filet Mignon, Salmon, and Pan Roasted Chicken breast is all on the menu as well.

Anthony’s Restaurant and Bistro - Plattsburgh
A scant 30 miles from the Canadian border on Lake Champlain is an 11,000ish person town called Plattsburgh. There is fine dining restaurant there that has received the Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence” numerous times. And Anthony’s Restaurant and Bistro is also one of our favorite fine dining restaurants in the ADK’s. The chef and owner has been creating great meals with many locally sourced ingredients for over 30 years. With over 3800 bottles of wine available, and great entrees like filet mignon topped with lobster meat, white asparagus & bearnaise sauce, bacon wrapped pork loin with chorizo & apple Ragout, and grilled fillet of salmon with warm lobster salsa everyone who goes here can find a delectable dinner choice.
Club Grill at the Sagamore Resort - Bolton Landing
Like just about everything at the Sagamore, the Club Grill is top-notch. They serve all of the high-end cuts of meat, great seafoods, and exquisite side dishes - all of which are very tasty.
