The Mansion on Delaware - Buffalo

Built in 1869 for a wealthy grain elevator owner, the mansion was opened as a luxury hotel in 1991 The mansion’s 28 guest rooms are all very luxurious. Staying here is far better than a typical hotel. After check-in you are given a complimentary beverage (boozy or non-boozy) in the bar and pool table room in the front of the house. There is also a free chauffeured vehicle available to all guests to take them to area restaurants and attractions along with complimentary breakfast in the front sitting room. This is our favorite place to stay in Buffalo.

The Boutique Hotel at Bent’s Opera House - Medina

After a 2 year renovation, the 1865 built Bent’s Opera House has achieved a level of grandeur like never before. The 10 uniquely themed and decorated rooms are the perfect place to stay on a weekend getaway in the quaint town half way between Rochester and Buffalo. We have rated restaurant at the Opera House, Harvest, as the Best Fine Dining restaurant in the region and the hotel is fantastic as well.

Curtiss Hotel - Buffalo

This 100+ year old building was completely renovated in 2017 to become a luxury hotel with a lot of unique amenities. Check out the “Urban Hot Springs” on the roof of the building where you can relax in warm, peaceful, tranquility even if it is 10 degrees in January in the middle of a major metropolitan city. In the middle of the upscale restaurant in the hotel is a bar that revolves 360 degrees each hour. Don’t worry, you won’t get seasick. The 68 room boutique hotel is well appointed with an on-site spa and a roof top bar. If you want a luxury hotel in western NY this is the place to go.

Roycroft Inn - East Aurora

This historical landmark, which opened in 1905, has grandeur of an era gone by. As part of the Roycroft Campus, the Inn was built in the style of the American Arts and Crafts movement with simple yet beautiful carvings and decor. InnBuffalo - Buffalo

This 9 room elegant B&B was built in 1898 for Herbert Hewitt, owner of a Brass manufacturing company in Buffalo. It has been immaculately restored by the current owners who are very gracious hosts. The rooms harken of an era gone by, but still have the amenities that an upscale traveler likes. The morning breakfast included homemade granola which was the best that we ever had.
